Wedding Wednesday.

You guys, wedding planning is hard.
But really, just because I have Pinterest boards and blogged about weddings before I was engaged does not mean I have this all figured out. I mean there is a big, BIG difference between thinking something is pretty, or a cool idea and then actually having to make those decisions yourself, and spend your own money on those decisions.
Like whoa. such a financial commitment.
Anyways, all this money talk aside, here are some of my favorite wedding thoughts lately!

Ok, okay I know I blogged this picture yesterday (whoops!) but I just really love it.
I want someone to try this hairstyle on me so I know if I would even be able to pull it off.
I think it would be fun and classic and it seems like one of those hairstyles that look better throughout the day, and wouldn't get droopy. LOVE it.
Emerald Green. I'm pretty sure it's what's happening.
Like I said, it's what's happening.
Just picture this: a color scheme of black, gold and ivory with emerald green  bridesmaid's dresses and a few other accents. Perfect understated glam. Perfect.
Speaking of color schemes, I love the berries in this bouquet.
Replace that wrap with a gold sparkly one and I'm sold.

What else am I loving? Well, Jamie King's Hair.
But for real, I love this messy but put together, curly but polished, up but down look.
My hair could do this right? I could pull this off?
I would totes put this in the line-up of possibilities for wedding day hair.

That's all for now folks, but be sure to check back in soon,
I'm slowly but surely getting back into my blogging rhythm.
Thanks for reading!

Winter Wardrobe: Vagina Monologues

It's that time of year again! Vagina Monologues time!
The Vagina Monologues are a set of monologues written by Eve Ensler about women, about women finding themselves, and loving their bodies but also about all of the horrific things that have been done to women in this world like domestic violence, mass rape during war times, and genital mutilation. The show was created to raise awareness about how prominent and horrifying these events are, and is performed around the world each year with the hope that the violence will end and the show will never be performed again.
If you are in the Des Moines area be sure to check out Vagina Monologues-Drake University Tonight and Saturday night at 7pm!
It's going to be a meaningful, powerful and entertaining show.
Now, on to the style portion of this post!  The women in the show wear "vagina friendly colors"--nuetrals, pinks, reds, and purples. Here are some of my favorite ideas for a vagina friendly outfit!

Vagina Monlogues
J.Crew a line dress / Jean-Michel Cazabat high heel shoes / Kate Spade statement necklace / Kate Spade stud earrings / NARS Cosmetics , $27

Vagina Monologues
Moschino Cheap & Chic one button blazer / Diane von Furstenberg skinny leg pants / Lipstik black stiletto heels, $82 / Gold pyramid stud earrings / Gold lipstick

Here are some of my favs from out and around Serendipity lately:
