Shoe of the Week: Blue Suede Booties

It's no secret that I love fall. 

I love fall weather, fall colors, fall food, and fall shoes! Especially boots and booties. 

I own a few pairs of booties but I am definitely searching for a few more to round out my collection. I would love a chic black leather pair to wear with tights to work in the cold months, and I would love to have a fun colorful pair to wear with jeans at night or on the weekends. 

The Sam & Libby for Target line has been lust-worthy since it first came out this spring, but their fall looks? Shut up. Perfection. I especially dig these blue suede heeled booties! I'm drooling at them just sitting here on my computer.

Shoe of the Week: Sparkle Sandals!

To continue with the trend of ignoring the actual weather outside and pretending it is still Sunny with a High of 75, this week's shoe of the week is the Sparkly Sandal!!!

I am so excited about this (Sparkles, duh!) that I couldn't pick just one shoe, I picked three!

Naturally we will start with the most luxurious, expensive sandal and progress towards the least expensive and most practical. 

First up is J Crew's Lillian Glitter Low Wedges. 

I am not even exaggerating when I say that this is the glitter sandal of my dreams. Not to mention all the other glittery sandals J Crew has this season (Sparkles, whoa!). 

Next up is Anthropologie's Banded Mercury Toeloop Slides. I'm actively willing these to go on sale, I feel like even just a 20-30% off sale would make them in the affordable, sandal investment range. They are so fun with the sparkly fringe but still neural enough to pair with patterns and prints. 

And never to be ignored in a list of shoes, Target is up to bat with the Xhilaration Lavada Slide Sandal! These are the perfect combination of neutral and sparkle and for less than $20 you can bet that these will be on my feet this summer!

Shoe of the Week: Espadrille Wedges

I love Target.

I love shoes.

I love Target shoes. 

I'm glad that we have that out in the open now. 

I've almost bought these snazzy, sassy espadrille wedges every time that I've been Target since I first spotted them in March. And  I go to Target on at least a weekly basis 

(I have a problem, I know).

I'm not sure how much longer my resistance can last. 

I am especially fond of the vibrant green ones 

(I totally have earrings that would be an exact match)

but really any color would be super cute for all of your spring and summer needs.

Shoe of the Week: Growing Up?

 

Do you know what a business casual work environment means for this young style blogger?

An excuse to buy new shoes of course!

After four years of college life, and 21 years of not grown-up life, making that grown up transition in my wardrobe is definitely a challenging process. I still want to dress in a young and stylish way but I also need to be taken seriously. So after wearing my bright pink loafers with my dress pants this week (whoops!) and after realizing that my bar-flats are not also business flats (whoops x2!) I decided it was time to invest in some chic, professional but still stylish and certainly not boring, brown flats.

Brown (and not awful) flats are kind of hard to come by, I discovered this week. So I resorted back to my online shopping ways and hit up Sole Society.

I found these beauties , the Martine and new I had a winner. Wearable with jeans, skirts and yes the dress pant. I just love the look of a pointy-toe flat with dress pants, when something works, it just works. You can check out these and other Sole Society Beauties here!

Shoe of the Week! Shearling Bridal Booties

Guys, I'm really really sorry there hasn't been a shoe of the week for so long (November 30th...whoops!).

With the end of the semester and the holidays and wedding planning things have been busy!

But never fear! Shoe of the Week is back! and looking rather fabulous if I do say so myself.

This week shoe is brought to us from the marvelous minds at Martha Stewart Weddings.

Jennifer, a Vermont Bride wore these chic and cozy shearling booties with pink laces while taking outdoor photos for her wedding! 

Needless to say this winter-wedding-loving-gal is totally smitten with that idea and these booties!

Shoes of the Week: Studded.

Studs have always had a kind of hard core, rock star connotation.

And typically, I would not describe myself or my style in a hard core, rock star kind of way.

But Studded accessories (like shoes and bags) are starting to grow on me. 

(Like Faux Fur, I know, who am I?)

Maybe it's because now a days studs aren't solely on black leather goods, but come with a variety of shapes, colors, and textures. 

They just seem like a fun way to spice up an outfit a little bit. 

So for this week's shoe(s) of the week I decided to pick my favorite studded pairs.

I saw these blue suede beauties and instantly fell in love.

As you all know, Friday means Shoe of the Week time!

 I was browsing through past Shoes of the Week and was shocked to realize that I hadn't yet done a bootie!

Booties are probably my new favorite thing, and even though I currently only have one (maybe two) pair(s), I definitely have my heart set on acquiring a few more. They are surprising versatile  go-with-anything kinds of shoes and if you get wedge booties like these then they can also be incredibly comfortable.

Shoe of the Week: Alice+Olivia.

Emerald is the green of the season and these shoes along earn it that title. 

I adore the sharp take on the classic pointed toe pump and the rich green color mixed with the suede texture make these beauties all around winners.

Shoe of the Week: Polka Dot Sneaks!

So I know I've already posted about Superga sneaks and these Navy Polka Dotted Superga Sneaks but I think they are most positively a Shoe of the Week. They are So Adorbs. (also I may or may not have purchased them on Monday). I am so excited for them! I'll let you know how they go when I get them.

Shoe of the Week: Sole Society Stunners.

I recently discovered Sole Society, and I absolutely LOVE it. It's like shoe heaven in a website. I've added about 30 pairs of shoes that I would LOVE to own to "my closet" and sincerely consider buying at least one of them every other day. (is this sad? it's like my brain is just constantly filled with shoes and shoe thoughts). Currently my least practical but most coveted favorites are the Brooklyn Stardust Pump and the Ava Block Heel Pump in Red/Maroon/Bordeaux.

Shoe of the Week: Zulah Riding Boot.

So, I know I have a lot of shoes, and I know I have quite a few pairs of boots, but I've been crushing over these for at least two weeks now. I've already got my new brown boots for fall (check 'em out in this post) but I love how sleek these Madden Girl boots look in Black. I feel like this purchase would be totally justified by 

1) the price (they're only $80!)

2) the classic look 

3) the frequency with which I wear boots in the October through March months 

(7/12 is the majority)...

Shoe of the Week: Gap Loafers.

Loafers seem to be this seasons It Shoe, they are popping up everywhere from Target to Designer labels and everything in between. These lovely loafers come from the ever marvelous Gap. There are the printed calf-hair loafers, the solid suede loafers, the herringbone loafers, the tassel loafers, and the embroidered loafers.Needless to say, Gap has got you covered, whatever your loafer needs may be (and if you're like me, you may have a lot of them).

Shoe of the Week: The Ultimate Wedge

This is the Fergalicious Women's Ultimate Wedge.

This week's shoe of the week is brought to you (and my closet) by the BOGO sale at Famous Footwear. I originally went to the shoe store with the intention of buying new running/workout shoes, and lucky me, it's BOGO time so post BOGO and post sale and post coupon I got these beauties for around $10. A steal if I've ever seen one. I love a good black pump and a good summery wedge and I feel like this shoe effortlessly combines the two. I think the mix of the black with the straw pump easily carries this shoe into fall's territory, and I may even wear them to that upcoming wedding this weekend.

Shoe of the Week: Spotted Converse.

This week's shoe of the week is a little sporty, a little preppy, a little fun.

I've been wearing Converse since I was probably in the sixth grade? That is what I consider a serious long standing relationship. Even though they aren't my go-to everyday shoes anymore, I do think a good pair of classic and fun sneaks have a place in everyone's wardrobe. Whether you are wearing them for errands, for an unexpected/cute look with a dress or skirt, or even for a visit to the zoo or a sporting event. 

I'm absolutely in love with these Marimekko spotted sneaks from Converse.

Shoe of the Week: Boots.

Ok, ok, I know it's not even almost Fall yet so a post about boots might not be super practical, but, I love these boots. My old brown/tan boots have been through two midwestern winters and have definitly seen better days, so I knew I would need a new pair in the Fall. I stopped by DSW the other day after my haircut and when I saw these my heart went a flutter. So I bought them. I know it's early but they were well within the amount I was comfortable spending and I knew I would be sad if I waited and missed them. So here they are, marvelous brown boots.

This week's very fabulous shoe of the week is the Jazzhands Glitter Peep Shoe from Topshop.

I've been spotting these glitzy beauties all around the web lately and love just about everything about them. The gorgeous blue color mixed with the gold glitter, the sensible and comfortable looking heel height, and the peep toes.

Shoe of the Week: Bright Loafers.

I love Target, and I love shoes, so it's only natural that I love Target shoes. 

These brightly colored loafers would be absolutly perfect for fall and the tassel adds just the right amount of preppy whimsy to an otherwise serious shoe style.
