Wedding Wednesday.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
and welcome to the Halloween/extra fall edition of Wedding Wednesday!
I love the idea of a Fall Wedding, everything just seems so natural and easy.
Step 1: Mini Pumpkins.
I'm all about the mini pumpkins.
Step 2: Also all about the mini pumpkins.
But really, how cute is this idea?

This is not Halloween-specific. Just GORGEOUS.

Step 3: Stripes. But really,
what could be chic-er than black and white stripes?
This may only be Halloween-y colors, but it's pretty fantastically designed.

Happy Halloween!

Fall Fashion: Color Combo

Once upon a time I was tumbling and pinning like any young person at work should be when I stumbled up this photo, I immediatly fell in love with the color combination and felt the need to recreate it for myself.
Inspiration Photo: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

And here are a few ways that you can make this lovely look work for your fall wardrobe!

Music Monday: T-Swift 22.

I'm going to take a cue from my dear friend K-Frit (you can check out her tumblr blog here) and blog about T-Swift's new album, Red.
I thought I had recovered from my T-Swift phase in life only to be drawn back in by the catchy nature of legitimately almost every single song on her new album.
But for real, the girl has grown as a writer and singer. I can appreciate both the more pop-y tunes (oh hey, We are Never Ever Getting Back Together) and the more mellow, old country like pieces, including both of the duets on the album, one with Ed Sheeran and one with Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol. (But seriously, really quality duets, really quality).
My favorite song on the album right now is most-probably-definitely "22." I mean "It feels like the perfect night to dress up like hipsters" is just so applicable to my life... but really. The tune is so catchy and the lyrics are so true-to-life embarrassing and the age is just about perfect for where I'm at in life right now, I think really this song and my senior year of college were meant to be together.

Y'all should seriously take a listen.

I don't know about you, but...

DIY Inspiration: Pumpkin Edition.

This past weekend at the Pumpkin Patch/Apple Orchard/Corn Maze Theta sisterhood, I acquired a little, mini, perfectly round, $0.33 pumpkin friend. I really want to DIY this pumpkin using paint and some of the ideas I've seen on the all-marvelous Pinterest DIY/Craft boards (where all good ideas come from, obvi.).
Here are my top contenders!

These are so adorable I can hardly even handle it.
Adorable pumpkins.

I actually think it is impossible to go wrong when chevron stripes are involved.

Glitter. no need to say more here. Just, Glitter Pumpkins.

I'll keep you updated on the process of transforming my new pumpkin friend, get pumped!

Oooh, maybe (just maybe) if this goes well, I'll acquire some non-real cheaper craft store pumpkins and DIY them so I can have fun fall decor for years to come!

Shoe of the Week: Audrina.

Happy Friday Everyone!
As you all know, Friday means Shoe of the Week time!
I was browsing through past Shoes of the Week and was shocked to realize that I hadn't yet done a bootie!
Booties are probably my new favorite thing, and even though I currently only have one (maybe two) pair(s), I definitely have my heart set on acquiring a few more. They are surprising versatile  go-with-anything kinds of shoes and if you get wedge booties like these then they can also be incredibly comfortable.
I've been lusting after these Sole Society beauties for literally months.
Check out the Audrina Wedge Bootie!

DIY Inspiration: Word Edition.

Well, that's still true, I so still love this Alexa Chung look and really want to DIY it.
But it also appears that in the busy-ness of fall my DIY inspiration and projects have kind of started to stack up! Now that my schedule is a little more hectic than it was this summer, I think I might start scheduling in DIY times, for the sake of my own sanity....
Anywho, here are a few of my current, favorite DIY inspirations.
aaaaand this time I will actually keep you updated on the progress...
Consider this my original DIY inspiration
Also French phrase #1

In my future, grown-up self, graduated, not wearing sorority sweatshirts, kind of life, these are the things I will wear in my off time. Grown-up upgrade?

Inspired by the one and only K Frit.
Consider me dedicated to the idea of making a "MEH" sweatshirt
French phrase #2
Ok y'all. If you've ever seen my Pinterest ever, you probably then know that I have wanted the J.Crew heart sweater from last season basically since I discovered it last year. I almost died of joy when it was at J. Crew factory this fall but still couldn't quite justify the purchase. Thus, I really want to DIY my own version of the J.Crew heart sweater, and here are a few how-to options:

I have to admit, I'm leaning a little more towards this idea, and both Target and Old Navy have sweaters that would be about the right color.

Fall Fashion: Teal & Red.

For the past several years my mom has gotten in the habit of buying me teal sweaters for Christmas. Generally I don't take this as a negative thing... I mean if she's buying me teal sweaters she must think I look nice in teal, right? Anyways, while I really like the teal sweaters I often have a hard time styling them, teal just isn't as easy of a color to mix as kelly green or royal blue. Then I stumbled upon this lovely inspiration from Note to Self and decided to make my own set of inspirations.

Color Course: Teal & Red.

Rebecca Taylor / A.P.C. / Acne pullover shirt / Skinny leg jeans / Knee high boots / Shoulder handbag / Kate Spade / Oasis leather handbag, $39 / Cultured pearl earrings / J.Crew j crew / Long scarve, $250 / Knitted scarve / Pieces infinity loop scarve, $19

Music Monday: If I Needed You

It's no secret that I love love love Mumford & Sons, so when I tumbled upon a track I hadn't heard before I felt it was my duty to share it with you!
"If I Needed You" was originally recorded by Emmylou Harris and Don Williams,
but the Mumford & Sons cover does not disappoint.

You can listen to this marvelous track here!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Fall Fashion: Stripes & Burgundy

I've been super inspired by all the creative color combinations out and about this fall and blue + burgundy is no exception. Often blue and white striped ts get put into the nautical category and stowed away for the winter months but now you have a reason to break them back out! I love the juxtaposition between these wine colored/burgundy/oxblood  cords/jeans and the crisp white+blue breton striped t.
Check out my inspiration photo and how to wear it options below!

Shoe of the Week: Alice+Olivia.

Emerald is the green of the season and these shoes along earn it that title.
I adore the sharp take on the classic pointed toe pump and the rich green color mixed with the suede texture make these beauties all around winners.

Wedding Wednesday.

After a short hiatus, it's back! Wedding Wednesday!
I love everything about this engagement photo, the outfits,
the fall-ness, even the gloomy weather.

I understand that this dip-dyed wedding dress is outside the normal box, but I really love it, I mean I really love the idea. Like I would strongly consider doing it, really love it.

Have I told you about my maps themed wedding idea? So perfect.
